There is currently no way for a student to indicate that they cannot attend an event. The issue is they continue being invited to the event until it passes, or they opt out of communication all together because they keep being invited to an event that they know they can't attend. I would like to be able to give the student an option to indicate that they cannot attend the event, which would also stop them from receiving event invite emails for that specific event.

I really like this idea - right now, everyone is either registered or no reply, when "I can't make this event, but let me know of future events!" would be a great option to unsubscribe them from event communication but keep them in the communication flow.
