Numbers can be opted in by texting "START" to the school's number, and texts thereafter to the number are placed on the student's record page, but their record is still not opted in to texts out of EMP. Requesting that any number that texts the school's EMP number should be opted in, so that replies can be sent to the number (but a msg back with opt out instructions be sent whenever that is done). Having schools be able to include "Text START to xxx-xxx-xxxx to opt in" would be very useful on print pieces, and would broaden access to parents as well.
